Origin: Aoudad Sheep, also known as Barbary Sheep are native to Northern Africa. They were introduced to Texas in 1940s.


Characteristics: Aoudad are identified by their large body, sway back horns, and tan hide with long chaps and mane. They can weight up to 310 pounds.
